I headed to Tofuku-ji Temple right after it opened. I got a front-row view of the "deep green of summer (summer maple leaves)" that filled the valley. It was a blissful morning activity, feeling the cool air on my skin as the morning mist lingered in the valley before the scorching heat of the day set in.

11:00 Fushimi - Jikkoku-bune boat
[Kyoto Boat Tour] Take the Keihan Railway to Chushojima Station. Cruise along the beautiful waterways lined with lush summer willow trees and white-walled sake breweries in a wooden "Jikkoku-bune" boat. In stark contrast to last night's urban cruise, experience the quintessential summer scenery of Japan from a charming Japanese boat.

As the intense heat of the afternoon began to set in, I quickly left Kyoto and headed to Osaka.
I'll take a cool and comfortable nap in the premium car's comfortable seats on my way back to Yodoyabashi.
After picking up our luggage at the hotel, we headed to Shin-Osaka and Umeda stations for various train lines. With a sense of fulfillment from having experienced culture and excitement, we enjoyed the lingering memories of our trip as we made our lighthearted journey home.
